Sounds good. Just to fill you in, here are some of my initial impressions.

Rand - I quite like him. He kind of reminds me of... well, me, in some ways.

Egwene - Currently bugs me, but she might get better. We'll see.

Lan - like

Moiraine - like

Thom - I suspect him for some reason. I don't know why.

Other than that, I'm pretty neutral. My impressions, of course, may change as the book progresses.

So ^___^ ! Let's see, what I remember from my early first impressions of the beginning :

Rand - neutral at first. Then, he grated on my nerves in chapters 5-6-7. Get a hold of yourself kiddo !

Egwene, Perrin, Mat - neutral/like.

Moiraine - neutral/like. Started to like her actively from chapter 9.

Thom - disliked him from the start. Never trusted him. I don't like showy old men.

Lan - neutral.

Nynaeve - like Ricanement

Here it is, for the first ten chapters. Don't forget to tell us more or less exactly where you stopped while reading, so we know what's spoiler and what's not in the book ^^ (because looking up chapter numbers to make sure not to spoil you anything is a bit cumbersome lol

)

Also, keep in mind those are my early impressions. Some of them have drastically change since then!

Sounds good. Currently, they all just left Baerlon and are battling Trollocs in the forest on the way to... wherever they're going... I can't remember the name of the place. They just reached that abandoned city.

Good! I'll be more precise then:

- Rand irritated me because he was so whiny about Tam (not) being his real dad. Though I do realize it's quite a hard thing to learn, but still... I dunno, I was just so tired of him obsessing over it.

- Moiraine. I was really drawn in when she told the villagers about Manetheren. Then, she obviously sunk the ferry at Tarren Ferry and only made a very cool and composed comment about it. Right there, I fell in love.

- Thom. I had a bad feeling about him from the start, for no reason. Then he felt obligated to display his "marvelous" skills with the knives at the ferry. Eww. I hated that. Showy and pretentious old bastard.

Ok, well, here's a quick run-down for you

Rand - One of my favorites

Moiraine - Another favorite

Perrin - He used to be a favorite, but he's been moody ever since those wolves...

Nynaeve - She's ok. I don't really like her, but I don't dislike her.

Egwene - She bothers me. She's too cocky about some things.

Mat - Neutral.

Lan - He's definitely cool (he actually made a cameo appearance in a dream I had the other night

)
