Me... well, as I said in the other thread, I just watched War of the Worlds. You know. Tom Cruise's latest big hit ? So-called big hit.

Well, to make a long story short, it sucked And not to be an ass, I'll tell you I thought the story was highly uninteresting (boom ! aliens attack ! boom ! aliens die !), and I wasn't all too impressed with the graphical side either. It's neither thought-provoking nor exciting action-driven material. I don't understand its success

I plan (hope) to go see Joyeux Noel with Guillaume Canet.

The story is about the French and German armies who sympathized for the night of Christmas in 1914, during the World War I.

I have seen the making of at TV and it really interested me. And besides, there are few good French movies, so I'd like to be able to see that one ;)

Yes ! I've seen the trailer for that one, when I went to see Corpse Bride. There's some potential here I think, and it should be highly emotional. However, I'm not sure how they will go about making it work for a whole movie and not just a few minuts... get back to us once you've watched it !

Unfortunately, I rarely get to go to movies. I always seem to have too much going on! I never did see War of the Worlds, but it looked kind of stupid.

The last movie I saw at a theater was Batman Begins. That one was awesome! I got a kink in my neck because my roommate and I were in the front row, but it was worth it!

Joyeux Noel sounds pretty good from what you've said. Maybe they'll put it in the foreign section at a movie rental place here so I can watch it! Let me know how it is!

I was thinking about watching Batman Begins, what was great about it ? Action ? Or even more ?

Batman Begins was just all around good. The action was alright. Lately Hollywood has been doing action sequences that are really jumpy so you can't tell what's going on. This was done in the same way, but it made up for that in the rest of the movie. I liked the storyline, and they did a good job of adding in appropriate humor now and then (hopefully that translates well into French ).

The other thing that I didn't like about it was the romance, if you can even call it that. But I won't give anything away if you haven't seen it yet!

My friends have told me that Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was good, but I haven't seen that yet. The old version scared me - mostly it was the oompa loompas. I went to the Hershey chocolate factory in Pennsylvania when I was little, and my grandpa told me they had oopma loompas. I was so scared to go in! I was probably the only kid that didn't want to go to a chocolate factory!

Have you ever seen Charlie and the Chocolate factory? They're the little midget-type guys that run the whole factory.

I guess you could say Batman Begins is similar to Spiderman. It has a darker feel to it. But it has ninjas, and any movie with ninjas is a good movie.
