Hi! I only speak a little bit of French (enough to get around the site with relative ease), so I figured the English section was right for me! So... a little intro.

I love video games, especially Final Fantasy and Zelda (I'd marry Link if I could ^_^). I also enjoy reading, ice-skating, hiking, drawing and all kinds of other things. As far as favorite anime, I would say Cowboy Bebop, as long as it's not English dubbed.

Right now, I'm studying at a university. I think I'm going to major in Linguistics and Pre-Pharmacy because I LOVE languages as well as math/science subjects . Yeah, I'm weird.

I see you like Final Fantasy and are in love with Link on top of everything so I think you'll fit in quite nicely here Which games do you enjoy the most in those series ?

Also, I'm curious about how you ended up here ! We don't have that many members on board as you can see, not to mention foreign members (well, okay, we have zero foreign members but that makes you the first one so congrats ! you're special ). How did you stumble on the website ?

Forgive the general giddy feel of the post, it's just that it's nice to see the english board is finally of some use to someone !

Well, I suppose I should start off by answering your questions! So my favorite game in the Zelda series is Ocarina of Time, hands down. Final Fantasy, well, there's a place for both FFVII and X in my heart.

As for how I came across the site... I'm not sure exactly how it happened, but I think I was in a bad mood, so I was google image searching Zelda pictures (those always make me feel better) and I stumbled upon Myaah's site. I LOVED her style, and immediately fell in love with her work. And the rest is history.

So what about the rest of the people on the board? Are you all friends originally? I'm going to have to brush up on my French so I can start actually following all the French boards.

Ok, quick question... beneath my name and above my avatar, it says "Paysan". How do I get it to say something cool like everyone else? (Sorry... I'm new at these message board things, so bear with me as I try to figure this all out )

Well, normally titles get better as you post... we just dangle the cooler ones as a far-away promise to make people participate, you see Buuut... since you are our first-ever foreign member, we could just bend the law around a little

You can't change it yourself though, it's an admin only priviledge so you'll have to wait for Myaah ;) What would you like it to say ?

Anyway, I see we love the same games ! How about FFX-2, did you like it too ? Or are you one of the many disappointed in it ? I hafta say I was unconvinced while reading news about the game before it was released, but I bought it anyway just to see for myself and was pleasantly surprised ! It's now one of my favorite in the series, though it's much unloved by many.

I don't speak English as well as Stef, but I'll give it a try ;)

And Konnie up there said that he wouldn't be able to talk much with you because he doesn't speak English very well, but I will try to translate for him, and I'm sure Stef will do to. (I hope my English is not too bad, but at least you won't have to hear my dreadful French accent )

To answer your question, we were friends before this forum was created, but we knew each other on the net, so Stef and Myaah dragged us here (or kicked us until we came...). I've met Myaah, Ariomatov and Heimdall IRL once, but I've never seen the others :p

Yeah, I met Myaah on the net... four to five years ago, I think. Since then, we have met IRL - I came to see her in Paris twice for a few days, and she spent two months holidaying at my place and my mother's (Reunion island at the time, and Madagascar). Basically, we're best friends

Like Eol said, I knew him and Konnie from before too - but on the net only. We met on another board, and I just dragged them here afterwards ! I hope to meet them both IRL someday, but it remains undone as of now. I lived in the indian ocean until two months ago, so it was kinda hard to organize a meeting ! Should be easier now, maybe we'll manage that next year.

We have two other regular members : Kami and Rikku. They are "brand new", they just appeared in here someday. Proving it CAN happen !

And I think that covers it We have a few other members, but they post quite sporadically so ^^ I hope you will enjoy your stay here, and become one of the main posters !

I understand English very well but I lack practice. Grammar and me.... not good . Gratefully, Stef helps me a lot for the website ^_^ I hope I'll be able to express myself clearly one day...

I've met in the past Eol and Ariomatov in IRL (Ario is from belgium and he doesn't go very often to Paris.. XD ). And I have seen Stef before, but she has already said it.

If you want a special title, you have just to speak. I put it instead of "Paysan"

Also, you may have noticed they are all talking about my knowing English perfectly... that's one big fat lie, don't listen to them please

I understand it close enough to perfect as makes no difference though But like Myaah, I direly lack practice when it comes to speaking it myself.

But Stef is definitively better than the other members of the forum She even dreams in english, she has no excuse to be shy

Um... how do I get the accents and such to work? I know I needed some in there, but they don't work out the same way as they do with Microsoft Word . Oh, and feel free to correct any French I do attempt. I'd like to learn to speak it better.

I suppose I can live with my title for now, mostly because I don't know what I'd like it to say . I'll have to think of something.

About FFX-2, I wasn't as impressed with it as the others. My main problems with it were 1) It didn't have the same feel to the music (I'm a big fan of Nobuo Uematsu) and 2) The storyline didn't seem as epic as other Final Fantasy classics. It was an entertaining game, though. Worth playing at least once, I'd say.

I have to say, I'm very impressed with everyone's English. It's not an easy language, what with all the strange rules and everything, but you all do a good job of it - especially you, Stefanof. If I had no idea and just glanced at most of your posts, I would probably have thought you were a native English speaker!
