I'm trying ^__^ I'll go this afternoon

Hey! Jogging is totally an achievement and something to brag about! It's hard to force yourself to go do something like that! Good job, Stef. ^_^

Oh, I'll brag about it in a month or two if I'm still going don't worry I just think that two weeks is not enough to brag yet, many people start running a little and then just give it up

But I'm greater than that, you'll see

It's raining today though, I hope it's going to stop because I can't go running in the rain if I don't want to catch au pneumonia or something

I'm proud of myself today ^____^ It's for a really silly thing but I don't care, I'm glad anyway

So, I was in class this morning with my fellow students and the teacher passed around a handout. There was a short poem on it, and she asked us all to give it a grade and write a very short review about it, so that we could then compare notes and see how a single text could be interpretated and appreciated (or not) in as many different ways as they were people.

As you may well guess, usually with those kind of exercices nobody will dare to dislike the piece and be quite vocal about it.

That's why I dared

An excerpt of the poem:

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.

I gave it a 2/5 as a mark, and read aloud the following review: "Your average run-of-the-mill poem, complete with grand themes and overused symbolism. Judging by this piece, I say the world will end bland."

People were stunned, and I was proud

Yes, I'm very glad you did, too ;)

First and foremost, because I walked ALL the way to the Mediterranean Sea with a friend on Easter Monday In case you're wondering, that's over 4 hours of walking under the sun, my friends! We had a really great time and took lots of pictures of our little trip. We had barely eaten before leaving, it was hot, we only had a small bottle of water for the both of us (didn't last long ) and we almost lost our way for lack of preparation, but in the end we PREVAILED !

Second, in January I mentioned I had taken up jogging. Well, it's late April now, and I'm still running for half an hour straight once or twice a week That's not much, of course, but enough to keep in shape, which is pretty much all I ever wanted ^___^

Your turn, people I can't be the only one to be proud of myself after all this time!!

I just rule in my job (well for now, anyway). My chief projects seem to be impressed and pleased by my job, so I hope things will keep on that way^^
And next Friday, it's the payyyyyyyyyyyy!

In honor of Shadow's Return, I claim back this narcissists' thread. Please, all of you, POST! I'm sure we've all been proud of ourselves since the last time we talked, so let's get wild on self-praise!

The thing I'm most proud of recently is traveling. Well, I didn't go to any foreign country (expensive ), but I'm enjoying France's countryside (both in the south where I live and in the north at my girlfriend's) and up until now it's been a blast

Also, I got my first year of Traductology Master at college, so yay But that's kinda unimportant in my mind compared to everything else these days

I have some things to brag about too, but I MUST go to sleep now^^

I'm just great, and I want you all to know that . But seriously, I'll post something more later. Thanks for reviving this thread Stef!
